What bridge are you willing to die on?

We are four weeks in and only have two more to go until this part of grad school is over.  It has been too fast.  The blur of information is like a tornado in my brain.  There have been many wonderful ideas, readings and of course talks in class.  One of my favorite things is when we were discussing in Sara's class about what is truly important to us.  She used the phrase "what bridge are you willing to die on?"  This is going to be important to remember.  It is also easy to say oh yes I will be willing to risk my job for a cause in theory but once reality sets in it is a whole other thing.  It would be interesting to try and figure out what would be the "bridge" in each of our value systems.  What could I live with in a school and what would drive me to make the final stand?  I do not know at this point.
